Sun and Tanning

Tanning is a way to get a tan without going outside. In the survey made by the Tanning Association in America who is tanned through salons, they estimated that there are so many Americans that used the indoor tanning salons in a year. However, there are also hundreds of individuals that tried nasal spray tanning. TANNING BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER: GET YOUR SKIN READY FOR TANNING. Before your first tanning session, exfoliate your skin every day for a week. Scrub the skin in a circular manner with a body puff and light soap. You may also use a professional exfoliating kit, which can be found in most beauty and medicine stores. When you exfoliate, you're getting rid of dead skin and preparing your skin for tanning. AVOID COSMETICS AND PERFUMES. Many cosmetics and fragrances include components that make you light sensitive. Rashes, blotching, burning sensations, and uneven tanning may occur as a result of these photosensitive substances. Before tanning, remove all cosmetics and fragrances. PROTECT YOUR EYES FROM ULTRAVIOLET (UV) RAYS. When you choose to use the indoor tanning equipment, the FDA requires that you wear eye protection. Most indoor tanning salons provide free eye protection, and all of them require customers to wear it while tanning. Avoid gazing at the tanning equipment's UV rays. Night blindness, retinal ulcers, and blindness may result from repeated exposure to UV radiation from indoor tanning beds. WHILE YOU TAN, MAKE SMALL ADJUSTMENTS TO YOUR BODY POSITION. When you tan, don't make still positions; instead, move your arms and legs slightly to get the most exposure to all sections of your body. Lay your head back to provide exposure to all portions of your face and neck for a more equal tan. AFTER A TANNING SESSION, USE MOISTURIZER. Skin that is hydrated will keep its tan for longer than the skin that is dry. After your every nasal spray tanning session, use a body lotion and moisturize after each shower or bath. Choose a lotion that is appropriate for your skin type. Choose a lightweight lotion for normal to oily skin and a deep-penetrating moisturizer for dry skin. IMMEDIATELY AFTER A TANNING SESSION, AVOID SHOWERING. Allow at least 3 or 4 hours for the skin's melanin to become fully activated after tanning. THINGS THAT CAUSE A TAN TO FADE SHOULD BE AVOIDED. The epidermis of the skin sheds every 30 days; therefore your tanned skin fades naturally every 30 days. The fading process is accelerated by hot water, indoor heating, and strong soaps. Keep your tan from fading by moisturizing it every day, using a gentle cleanser, washing in warm water, and boosting your daily water consumption. In an indoor tanning booth, the machine releases UV ray. The sun normally emits UV-C, UV-B, and UV-A rays. The longer UV-A ray inflict less harm with the skin than the shorter UV-C rays. In protecting the skin, tanning equipment is only emitting the UV-A and UV-B rays. However, the too much UV radiations, whether it is from the indoor tanning equipment or the sun, can harm your skin.
